Glazed extension to rear of traditional house: Braunston, Northamptonshire

This traditional stone cottage was delisted due to imprudent modifications made to it by past owners. The new owner (a builder) wanted to restore the house to it’s original richly traditional style and open up dingy spaces to light.

Part of these extensive modifications required an extension of space to remedy the poorly thought through internal layout. This new summer lounge opened up the rear of the property to light and to views of the garden.
