This was a tiny site and the brief was to demolish the existing surgery and provide as large a surgery as possible with an eye catching design.
The accommodation includes waiting/reception, five consulting rooms, treatment and admin area.
Security and vandal resistance were very key elements in the brief. The staircase has full height glass blocks instead of glass which lights the reception and first floor corridor. The ground floor windows are triple glazed for sound resistance and open inwards with external security grills.
The main entrance porch is sealed off at night with a roller shutter.
