The existing building was a large vicarage in a half acre garden. Major renovations were carried out to the main building including taking down the main internal wall on both floors, to create additional rooms.
The extension provides the entrance lobby, waiting, reception and rear office.
The layout allows the receptionist to visually monitor patient flow from the main entrance to consulting rooms. Rooflights were incorporated into the waiting room roof to give the sense of light and to improve natural ventilation.
