It was hard to get inspired when we first visited this damp and dingy end of terrace. But somehow we must have managed because the end result was a superb light-filled and snug cottage.
To achieve this we needed new openings in the stone walls and lowering of floor levels, which required some out-of-the-box structural solutions.
